WearPawsitive was founded by Subash and Akhila, inspired by our Golden Retriever and co-founder, Roony.

Our mission first began in 2023, when Roony underwent his first major surgery. That experience opened our eyes to how expensive veterinary care can become and made us question how many families are forced to make heartbreaking decisions simply because they cannot afford treatment.

On August 16, 2026, that mission became even more personal.

During an emergency visit, Roony’s condition escalated quickly. Within a matter of hours, we were faced with a decision: let him go, or move forward with a second major procedure that could cost nearly $20,000.

We were fortunate enough to be able to say, “Try to save him.”

Not every family has that choice.

Despite every effort, Roony passed away from cardiac arrest during anesthesia at 8:09 AM that morning. We left the hospital without him, but with a much stronger sense of purpose.

We believe that when there is still a chance to save a pet, financial circumstances alone should not decide whether that chance is taken.

Roony inspired the beginning of WearPawsitive in 2023. His final lesson made us realize that this mission needs to become much bigger.

We are building a pet-inclusive lifestyle brand that creates products people genuinely want to wear while helping more pets access the care they deserve.

Because when there is still a chance, every pet deserves the opportunity to fight.
